New to Quakers

Welcome, Friend

You don’t need to be a Quaker or even religious to join us. Many of us came seeking quiet, clarity, or community. Some are spiritual, others simply cherish the silence and grounding presence of the group.

What Is Quaker Worship Like?

We sit in expectant silence for about an hour. There is no pastor, sermon, or ritual.

We don’t use creeds. Instead, we wait for the “Inner Light of God” a spark of truth and goodness in everyone.

It’s okay to:

  • Sit quietly
  • Meditate
  • Pray
  • Reflect
  • Or simply breathe

Anyone may speak if they feel spiritually moved.

What Do Quakers Believe?

Quaker values (SPICES) guide us:

  • Simplicity
  • Peace
  • Integrity
  • Community
  • Equality
  • Stewardship

What Should I Expect?

  • Casual clothing
  • A friendly greeting
  • A peaceful atmosphere
  • No pressure to speak
  • Warm conversation before or afterward
  • Food and fellowship are offered after Sunday worship.

You Are Welcome Here

Whether you’re curious, exploring, or seeking something deeper, you’re warmly welcome to join us.

“Walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in everyone.”

– George Fox
